Confirmation Process in Transition
We are in the process of moving our confirmation age down to 8th grade and so are having two classes confirmed per year. This process will be complete in the fall of 2023 when all students currently in 7th and 8th grade for the 2022-2023 academic year will be confirmed in two separate Masses (current 8th graders who are ready will be confirmed Sunday Sep. 24, 2023; current 7th graders will be confirmed Sunday Oct. 1, 2023). Thus in the 2022-2023 academic year, the only class that will be prepping for confirmation will be the 7th grade (and anyone above that age who still needs confirmation).
Classes are held Wednesday evenings at Mater Dei School, Nativity Center, 6:45 to 8:00.
Wednesday Black Out Dates
Wednesdays are usually our "big night" with classes, small groups, meetings, etc. However we have certain Wednesdays that are off due to holidays, holy days, etc. Those dates in 2022-2023 are:
Nov 23 (Thanksgiving weekend)
Dec 8th (Holy day of obligation, Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception)
Dec 21 and 28 (Christmas)
April 5 (Easter Break)
2023 Confirmation Masses
Current 8th graders (and some older candidates) will be confirmed Sunday Sep. 24, 2023. Current 7th graders will be confirmed Sunday Oct. 1, 2023.
